Art and Wine Master class.

During this master class we will have lots of fun completing a painting inspired by one of the many flower paintings done by Pierre - Auguste Renoir. This painting is called “Vase of Flowers”. We will enjoy mixing beautiful warm and cool colors, analyzing the forms we see, drinking rich wine, and having tasty snacks. The goal of this session is to visualize the painting to the best of your ability while trying to recreate this masterpiece the way you see and feel it. Besides visualizing and internalizing Renoir’s painting, we will be socializing with friends and meeting new people. Please, come to the class stress-free without worrying too much about how the painting will turn out in the end and just enjoy the process. Lastly, I would like to add a quote coined by Renoir, which I think will be an inspiration for everyone. Renoir felt that he had greater freedom to experiment in still life than in figure paintings. "When I paint flowers, I feel free to try out tones and values and worry less about destroying the canvas," he told the writer Georges Rivière. "I would not do this with a figure painting since there I would care about destroying the work." The class will be run by a professional artist and art teacher Roman Vinarnik.
