Telo Tulku Rinpoche: Today’s world and how to find support in the times of great uncertainty.

Westside Women’s Club is honored to be hosting a lecture that will be given by Telo Tulku Rinpoche. Born in US, he was recognized as the reincarnation of Tilopa, ancient Buddhist teacher, and studied Buddhism in Drepung Gomang monastery in India. For 35 years, Rinpoche was serving as the Head Lama of Kalmykia and was rebuilding Buddhist temples and culture that were destroyed by communists regime in Russia. 

In 2022, he publicly criticized the war in Ukraine, and had to resign and leave Russia after government included his name into the list of “foreign agents”. Rinpoche continues to work as the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Russia, CIS and Mongolia. 

We hope that this lecture will help all of us to regain control in our minds, overwhelmed by ever day news, and find needed support to overcome fears in this challenging time.
